| The Telecine Unit shown here has been designed to transfer both Standard 8 and Super 8 film into digital video. This is achieved by capturing each individual frame on the film reel and assembling them into a Flicker Free AVI uncompressed master video file. The process is undertaken by sofware written specifically for this Telecine Unit ( Reel-Captor ). |
The risk of burning the film has been eliminated by replacing the original Lamp with a White Dimmable LED. As well, the entire film frame is visible right up to the sprocket holes. This has been achieved by enlarging the size of the gate, revealing 20% more of the frame. The built in camera is fully adjustable allowing you to adapt the Exposure, Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue, Saturation and White Balance. To give you an idea of the scanning speed of the Telecine Unit, a 50 ft reel of film can be transferred within 18/20 minutes. |
